What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.  You're probably familiar with the popular vegetable CSA's that are readily available throughout the Hudson Valley.  A flower CSA works much the same way.  Members join, typically in winter or early spring by purchasing their share.  Their contribution helps our farm buy seeds and supplies for the coming season.  In return, the member receives a portion of the fresh product available in abundance that week at a much lower rate than they would typically spend if they made their purchases individually.

What kinds of shares do you offer?

We offer 2 different types of shares: vased or loose-wrapped.  Our vased share features a designer's choice vessel filled to the brim with our own luscious, beautiful, field-grown blooms.  The vase gets returned the following week when you pickup your next share.  This is a great option for an office or as a gift for the person who has everything.  Our loose wrapped option features mixed, seasonal blooms wrapped in eco-friendly Kraft paper.  This is a fantastic option for restaurants or anyone who loves to arrange with the season's finest fresh flowers.  Each bouquet offers a selection of whatever is most bountiful that week

When is the CSA available?

For 2020, we're offering 3 seasons of CSA's to choose from- Spring (starting May 17), Summer (starting mid July) and Fall  (starting early September.) Each share runs for 4 consecutive weeks.

Where and when do I pickup my share?

CSA shares are available for pick up during the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on pickup afternoons (Saturdays) from HOMEGROWN FLORICULTURE located at 3835 US 209 Stone Ridge, NY.  Due to the tremendous popularity of our CSA program, we regret to say we are unable to alter pickup times.  Please carefully review the pick up dates prior to signing up.

What if I'm unable to pickup my share?

Absolutely!! We know the summer is a busy time so you are welcome to have a friend pick up your share. Many times, our bouquets will last for more than a week so you may wish to give your share to a friend to enjoy.  Please let us know if you know you are unable to pickup.

What is your gift-add on program?

You asked and we've added it!  We've included a Gift add-on option to our existing CSA share. Wouldn't it be nice if your favorite flower-giving holidays lasted all summer long? Now they can.  By adding our local holiday bouquet option to your CSA share signup, you will receive a gorgeous, loose wrapped mix of locally sourced blooms to give as your floral gift now, in addition to the bouquets received during the CSA season later!  To include your local holiday add on, just add it to your cart during the checkout of your CSA purchase!
